# NEW - Energy Efficient Circulator Pump #
Lowara have recently released their new energy efficient circulator pumps, we are most proud of the EA range featuring automatic speed adjustment according to the working conditions. |
Washdown & Pressure Boosting Sets
We offer a wide range of solutions for boosting water pressure, from domestic to commercial applications; including agricultural wash-down sets for parlors and dairy's. |
What are Mono Solar products?
Mono Solar Pumps were not originally designed as a green or energy efficient product; it is an effective solution for getting water to or from areas where mains utilities are impossible or too costly to reach, originally developed for use in the Australian Outback and African Plains for irrigation. The system has been developed to eliminate the need for petrol/diesel generators or pumps, battery storage or expensive and ugly wind turbines, keeping everything simple and effective with the need for little or zero maintenance.
We split the solar products in to two main categories, Sun-Sub & SB3 Borehole Pumps and Sun-Ray Surface & Floating Pumps. We supply both system with a GPS Tracker unit as standard, as this provides an extra 30% more yield over fixed array systems. The units are supplied in kit form with plug and play connectors, and can be generally assembled and ready to pump in under 30 minutes.
Our systems can provide flow rates of upto 135,000 Liters per day per Pump, and heads of upto 150 Meters . Arrays start from 175 Watts up to 2800 Watts, the size of the array will be determined by how much water is required, these systems are perfect for Domestic & Agriculture as well as large scale Horticulture and Irrigation.
The pump uses a helical rotor common to Mono Pumps, this progressive cavity design mean that even in low light levels when the pump is running slower it can still produce water (unlike centrifugal pumps). The high torque brushless DC motor uses a 3phase variable speed controller giving the unit maximum efficiency with the minimum available power, and will adjust its performance automatically as the light levels change due to cloud and dusk.
The GPS sun tracker will ensure the panels have the best angle towards the sun throughout the day, and will place the panels in a neutral position at night to minimize possible damage caused by high winds, and in the morning return to start tracking sun again.
This can increase your systems yield by up to 30%.
Mono Solar products have proven their worth time and time again.
We have fitted the first of these systems in the UK here in Cornwall, supplying water to livestock in some very remote areas. Using Computer Aided Solar Software (CASS) developed by Mono Pumps we can accurately predict the amount of water each individual system is capable of producing in your area.
The system does not use batteries to store power for night time use, the system is designed to run solely from the panels; however a generator power kit is available for night time use. We would always recommend (where possible) that the pump feed a storage tank first.

Quick Example
We can provide flow rates of upto 135,000 Liters per day per Pump, and heads of upto 150 Meters. Arrays start from 175 Watts up to 2800 Watts, the size of the array will be determined by how much water is required, we feed this information with several other key factors into CASS, helping us size the pump, panel(s) and pipe work.
Computer Aided Solar Software (exclusive to Mono Solar Distributors) helps us to size your system and provides an accurate predictions for the systems yield. Below are a couple of yield examples, we would be happy to try out any applications you may have.

Typical example, a borehole feeding troughs for 100Head of beef cattle.
We will pump to storage (2200Gal Paxton Tank), and gravity feed to various troughs.
45 Meter Borehole, 40 Meters of 32mm MDPE, 300watt Tracking Array, 16m3/day from April to August.

As you can see from the table, CASS has predicted around 16m3/day in the summer months, and an average of 10m3/day across the year. From a 350watt system, with only 32mm MDPE Pipe. By increasing the system to 475watts and using 50mm MDPE, we can expect 30m3/day in the summer months, and an average of 17m3/day across the year.

Extreme example, a Lagoon feeding a Farm over a Mile away.
For instance sucking from a lagoon or lake and pumping 2km to the farm. We will have to use 90mm MDPE to over come the friction loss caused by that kind of distance.
With a 1050watt system, CASS predicts around 90m3/day in the summer months, and an average of 56m3/day across the year.
Upgrade to the 2800watt system, still only using 90mm pipe, CASS predicts around 130m3/day in the summer months, and an average of 93m3/day across the year.
One of our previous simulations had showed it possible to pump 100 m3/day to a lagoon or holding tank over 6 Miles away.
The climate simulation was based on Penzance here in Cornwall.
